Recipe of the Week - Red Wine Mushroom Sauce

As the cooler months approach we start to move toward comfort food. Comfort food does not need to be just meat and potatoes, you can dress these dishes up in as little time as 15 min! Wow your loved ones with this great recipe for Red Wine Mushroom Sauce, a great companion for steak or chicken breast served with potatoes and vegetables.
Preparation time 5 minutes - cooking time 10 minutes
Makes about 3 cups
Ingredients:
1/4 lb Butter
2 Chives chopped
1/2lb Sliced white mushrooms
4oz Dry red wine
2 cups Commercial brown sauce
1 cup Heavy Cream - 35%
drops Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper
Heat large sauce pan and melt butter on medium heat.
Add chives cook 2 minutes until soft. Add mushrooms continue cooking about 5 minutes until soft.
Add red wine increase heat to high and reduce liquid. Reduce heat to medium, stir in commercial brown sauce. Mix in heavy cream and lemon juice until uniform in color.
Remove from heat and serve over meat and vegetables.
